Typical Saturdays

Saturdays are when we don’t have a routine. And we’re alright going whichever way we want. Maybe meet someone, maybe make a plan, maybe paint our nails, cook something, bake something, take long…

Toxicity of Hustle Culture

Some people are drained from a hustling and sleepless nights.
Life is funny, isn’t it? We desperately chase goals we think we want, only to discover— as we pursue them— that we’re making sacrifices we don’t want to endure and deserting our souls basic emotional needs, in order to reach goals we don’t actually desire. We keep hustling because that’s what you’re supposed to do.

How can we manage time better?
How we can optimize our day?
Eventually we grow resentful. We realize we’re living a life that’s not authentically ours.

Hustling is makes so many people overwork themselves in an unhealthy way. I’m not saying that hard work isn’t good for us— but no one should work themselves to death.
Excessive working time has negative effects on workers health.

In Japan, one of fifth employees is affected from hustling culture and risk to death by overwork.

also posts like “Why We Need To Talk About Side Hustle Burnout” in Forbes about how we’re all just optimizing our “hobbies” to bring in cash.

We work all the time, rest a lot less, take less sick days, less lunch breaks, and vacation time.

we’re overworked, we don’t get better at what we do, we get worse.

Hustle culture makes me feel like taking a weekend off to visit a family member makes me horrible person, so I spend a lot of the time traveling to a place while on my laptop instead of relaxing or napping. I keep my phone and other devices fully charged so I can read emails.

It takes me away from being with friends and family. It takes me away from things that would make me enjoy my work a lot more.
